"Regardless of whether one is on their first clinical experience or last, PTS is a great place to learn and grow, both clinically and professionally."
At Physical Therapy Specialists, PC we provide many opportunities throughout a student’s career to gain practical experience and enhance the learning taking place in the classroom. We enjoy providing hands-on clinical rotations which augment the training received as part of the formal PT and PTA curriculum, as well as providing students in all medically related fields of study with the opportunity to gain employment with us as a physical therapy technician. Up to 1/3rd of our staff is student driven.
The experience received is intended to socialize a student in the role of the medical provider while at the same time honing vital clinical skills. It is our goal that you leave us understanding what high quality, ethical care looks like and that you will carry that with you throughout your career.
PTS is proud to continue supporting the men and women who aspire to join the medical community, the universities in which they learn, the community which surrounds us, and the profession as a whole via this important outreach.

Here's what past students and educators have to say about the PTS experience:
Walking in to PT Specialists, I was immediately welcomed by the warm and friendly staff. I was given just the right amount of information my first day there: not so much that I felt overwhelmed, but enough to know where things were and how operations ran. Mark Cacko, my clinical instructor, was extremely knowledgeable and approachable. He progressed me during my time at PTS from observation, to hands-on manual techniques with supervision, to independent treatment. He, and the rest of the staff for that matter, was always available for questions and gave ample feedback on my performance. I noted that each patient at PTS was treated with care and dignity, even in the midst of a busy day. PTS was an excellent environment to learn about outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, and I would recommend it to any student interested in the outpatient ortho setting. Regardless of whether one is on their first clinical experience or last, PTS is a great place to learn and grow, both clinically and professionally.
PTS is a model for physical therapy. My 14 weeks here have exposed me to real patients with real problems. The experience enhances what I know about the both the physical therapy discipline and the progressive, ethical environment of my chosen field. The on-the-job insights I’m getting here provide powerful affirmation for the career choice I’ve made.
The work we do is important. After reception, we’re the first faces that PTS clients see. We keep patients engaged, moving and organized. We’re on our feet all day, but we take real pride in keeping everything going. It’s very satisfying to contribute directly to both patient comfort and to the success of a longstanding practice!
Thank you for all your on going support and time over all these years. Every year, our students significantly learn the role of the PTA in a stellar outpatient clinical environment. Sincerely appreciated.
